Parts Car

We are heading out of town and I thought I would give the Volvo a quick look over. I noticed the drivers side axle boot torn and grease everywhere. I thought, "this sucks", but wait, just happen to have a spare one laying around from the parts car. I wiped the dust off and installed it in about an hour and off we go. That donor car has really paid for itself over and over. I just took one of the headlight bulbs out of it a couple weeks ago. Maybe that car won't ever leave the side of the shop.

Ride Along

Did a ride along with a friend of ours that is a police officer for the city we live in. We (He) got to stop and talk to a lot of people last night. It started out slow, the weather was cold and windy so not a lot of people out doing things they shouldn't be doing. We had stops for, brake lights, not making complete stops, swerving, dui investigation, possession of meth, ect. No speeders, which surprised me, I guess noone speeds in our city. It was very interesting to see the behind the scene things that go on. I look forward to going out again when the weather turns HOT.

St. Patricks Day Race

The kids and I ran in the St. Patrick's day race on Sat. morning. The weather was pretty nice first thing in the morning for the kids 1 mile run. Then the wind came up and was blowing what seemed like 20 mph, but was probably only 5-10 for the 5-10K race.

Action Photo

I could not believe how many kids ran this 1 mile race (400ish). Kendall and Kole did well. They made it the whole way. I ran with them, it was a good warmup time for me before my race. We would run a little ways then walk and run again. Kendall understood that she needed to save some energy for the end of the race. After the turn around point, Kole saw M and finished with her. I went with Kendall to the finish line and she was excited that she was passing alot of kids because they were tired due to starting the race to fast.

M got this great picture of me finishing. By the expression on my face, its obvious that running is really fun for me.

I ran the 10K race and was not really excited because the wind had just picked up and I knew it was going to suck running into it. I ended up doing about what I wanted to do as far as time goes. I finished with a 40:50. After running with Kendall it reminded me to go out slow and save a little something for the end. I was able to catch and pass alot of runners during the race so it made it a fun. Usually I'm just trying to survive at the end of the race.

None of my posse ran (scared, I guess), so cant comment on their results.

Heres the results of the 10K race.

Big Air

Here's Kendall catching some big air on her atv.

Car wash

Here's Kole washing the car for me. He was very excited to use the multi-colored soap. I think I ended up spending about 5 dollars just for the soap. Oh we'll, Good Times for him.

Future F1 racers

Kole was very excited that his big 10 year old cousin was able to play and race with him for a few hours today. Unfortunately there was not enough time to go out and race the atv's. "What the SNAP". I know they both would have liked that as well.
